What Do I Need To Know About The 2025 RCA Women’s Run D-Day?

Arrival At the venue

The road in front of City Park will be closed off to traffic for the duration of the Women’s Run, so kindly park on Adetokunbo Ademola Crescent. Police and private security personnel will be stationed on the designated parking area for adequate security. If parking arrangements change, we will duly notify you.

Warm up

Please make sure you arrive at City Park latest 6:30 am to take part in the pre-event warm up. The warm up activity is very beneficial, prevent injury, and will be fun! The DJ will be on deck to support our drill leader Aku Aghazu @fit4life as she takes us through our paces.

The Run!

This is what we have been waiting for and it promises to be a blast. Here are a few things you need to know.

Take off time: The run will take-off at exactly 7am. There will be no delay, so please arrive on time.

Route Directions: We have made adequate plans to make sure no participant misses their way. At every turn there will be a marshal on foot or mobile showing you the turn to take. Mile markers will also be on every Km of the route to give you an idea of how much ground you have covered and how much more is left. Traffic control officials and medics will also be along the route to make sure we are all safe. Please click here to see a map of the route in Strava and Google maps.

Hydration: There will be 4 hydration points located at Km 2, Km 4, Km 6, and Km 8. Roll up banners will be at these points for easy location.

Post Run!

Medal collection: At the finish line, volunteers will direct participants to the medal collection points. To collect your medals please make sure you have your bib; and special wrist bands that you will be given at strategic points during the run. This is important.

After Run Refreshment: We shall provide fruits for participants to eat as they cool down from conquering the route. Vendors will also be on ground to provide whatever else you might need – best part, they are all women owned businesses. So please come ready to support our kind.

Entertainment: There will be entertainment at the start point, on the route, and at the finish line. At RCA we don’t just run, we also know how to party. So, it promises to be a carnival!
